Carpet styles we install
We carry the full range of residential and commercial carpet: Berber and level loop, cut pile and cut-and-loop, plush, textured, frieze, wool, woven, indoor/outdoor, hospitality carpet and carpet tile. Each one wears differently — frieze and textured carpets hide footprints in busy family rooms, plush reads more formal in a master bedroom, Berber and carpet tile hold up in basements, rentals and offices.
Why homeowners still choose carpet
Carpet is warm underfoot through a Michigan winter, quiets a second floor with kids' bedrooms, softens stairs and costs less installed than any hard surface. It is also the most forgiving product on an older, slightly uneven subfloor, which matters in a lot of Warren, Detroit and Grosse Pointe homes.
Rooms that work best in carpet
Bedrooms, hallways, stairs, family rooms, finished basements, home offices and rental units. For kitchens, entryways and full baths we'll steer you toward luxury vinyl or vinyl instead — and we'll tell you that during the estimate rather than after.
Choosing color and texture at home
Showroom lighting lies. Looking at three or four candidate samples on your actual floor, next to your actual furniture and wall color, is the single biggest reason our customers are happy with the color a year later.
Carpet padding
Pad density and thickness change how the carpet feels and how long it lasts, and the carpet manufacturer's own warranty usually specifies a minimum. We'll explain the pad options that fit the carpet you picked and include the right one in your quote.
Professional measuring
We measure the room, closets, doorways and stair treads and lay out seams where traffic and light will hide them. Accurate measuring is also how you avoid paying for material you don't need.
Installation day
Certified installers arrive, move your furniture at no extra charge, remove and haul away the old carpet and pad, prep the subfloor, install the new pad and carpet, cut in the transitions and vacuum before they leave. Most single rooms and many whole floors are done in a day, and next-day installation is available on qualifying products.
Caring for new carpet
Vacuum the traffic lanes more often than the rest of the room, blot spills instead of scrubbing them, use walk-off mats at exterior doors and follow the manufacturer's schedule for professional hot-water extraction — most carpet warranties require it.
