Carpet Installation Cost in Metro Detroit: 2026 Guide
By Quick Carpet ·

Want real numbers, not phone guesses? Quick Carpet gives you a free, written carpet installation cost in Metro Detroit measured in your home with no obligation.
Why a phone quote is rarely accurate
Carpet pricing depends on the product, the pad, the square footage, the number of seams, the stairs and the condition of the subfloor. A per-square-foot number over the phone is a guess. An in-home measure gives you a real installed price, and ours is free.
What you're actually paying for
An installed carpet job is material (carpet), cushion (pad), labor (tear-out, prep, install), and incidentals (tack strip, transitions, furniture moving, haul-away). We include furniture moving and old-carpet removal in our quotes so the number you get is the number you pay.
The product sets the range
Builder-grade carpet lands at the low end; a dense frieze, a patterned loop or a wool carpet lands higher. Within one product line, face weight and twist change both price and how long the carpet looks good. We bring samples across price points so you see the difference, not just hear it.
Stairs and seams add labor
Stairs are the most labor-intensive part of a carpet job, and a curved staircase or a runner adds more. Seams are planned around traffic and light; fewer seams in a larger room cost less and look better than more seams in a smaller one.
Pad is not the place to save
The pad changes how the carpet feels and how long it lasts, and most manufacturer warranties require a minimum pad spec. We quote the pad that fits the carpet you chose rather than downselling pad to hit a number.
How to compare quotes honestly
Get every quote installed — material, pad, labor, tear-out, furniture and haul-away included — and compare the same product and pad across them. A low material price with add-on labor fees is not the same as an installed price.
